For a spectacular exhibition of fashion wear there is probably no contest than that of Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld. As creative director for Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, a German born fashion designer/photographer, has developed some spectacular fashion shows. This past seasons was situated in a passenger airplane. The invitation list was limited due to limited seating which disappointed many.
Karl Lagerfeld, most likely born in the early 1930s. Although there is debate whether he was born in 1933 or 1938. Some sources has him denying his year of birth as neither of them. Controversy about his year of birth is only the beginning of controversies surrounding Karl Lagerfeld.
He started his career as a fashion designer in his early 20s. Mostly freelance. Many of his designs were not received very well. Some were a little too much for their time. A couple short black cocktail dresses he designed in his first haute couture collection were cut so wide at the front that women reporters gasped in shock.
Even though through his life some of the mainstream conservatisms has had trouble accepting the creations of Karl Lagerfeld. The man is indeed a very talented individual. Has created some outstanding designs. His position of creative director of Chanel I personally appreciate. If you enjoy fashion shows Chanel’s is a must.
