Spring Fashion 2012 Truth and Dare

Spring Fashion 2012 Truth and Dare
By Steve Millard

While reading Amanda FitzSimon's article for April 5, 2012 on Elle,
had me thinking the motto for Spring Fashion 2012
is Truth and Dare.
Yep, Truth and Dare, instead of the
adage of truth or dare.

Several of the designer looks on the Spring 2012 fashion looks
on the runways had designs that
if your dared to bare
all would know the truth.
I am referring to
exposed mid-riff, plunging necklines,
backless dresses.

Now being a guy I can say
that seeing a young co-ed dressed
in a provacative manner
is definitely eye appealing.
However many would conservatists would
say that such dressing style is "sluttish".
Also many would say that your typical
middle age woman should
not even think about dressing in such a way.

I think there is a time and place for all.
There is also ways of dressing in such
a way can be appealing in a tasteful way.
It must stay within the dress code of the enviroment.

I am reminded of a discussion I had with
a lady friend who was pregnant
and in the summer
she chose to wear midriff tank tops
and shorts
over the more conservative
maternity clothes.

Her philosphy was "if you don't like it...f_ _ _ you"
I liked her style.
I will also say there was
something appealing in her
rebellous viewpoint.

The real beauty comes within.
So when it comes to day wear
for the spring fashion 2012
get into the truth and dare
if you dare to bare.

Drop a comment and let me know what your opions
are to the cropped tops, plunging necklines.
Cheers.

Spring Trend: Can I Wear Black Tights With Lighter Shoes?

Spring Trend: Can I wear Black Tights With Lighter Shoes?
By Steve Millard

Considering Spring Trends one might ask "Can I wear black tights with lighter shoes?"
It is a Style that comes in  and fades
and seems to return as a revewed
fashion trend.
Walking down the streets
here in Chicago
you can notice that is isn't
all that unusual. Especially in winter
but is it a good spring trend.

Every Stock Photo

Paris Hilton was seen recently wearing
dark hose paired with silver shoes.
Then again she isn't the lone ranger.
There has been a few celebrities dressing in this style.

In an article I read by Cynthia Nellis, "Black Tights and Lighter Shoes
Love or Hate This latest fahion trend?"
Cynthia makes mention on how this style may
spoil the slendering effect of dressing in all black.

Now I read a few commentaries of fashion consultants
that frowned upon the all black.
according to them bloack doens't go with black.
Now I am sure Johny Cash would disagree.

Another point of view to consider is that
some say your style of clothes
should create a smooth line from the feet
leading up to the head.
Hmm, Interesting.
The shoes are going to spoil this
idea.
They are gonna jump right out
and catch your attention.
Forget the smooth line.
(LOL)

(Every Stock Photo)

Is this a style that appeals to you?
Next time you are in the store
browsing around looking
at all the things you want.
Would it occur to you
that-Yes, this is my style!
I goota have it for my new spring trend.
Then buy those black tights
with red, silver,or pink shoes.
Cast you vote
Love it or leave it.

Marissa Miller SuperModel

MARISSA MILLER SUPERMODEL
By Steve Millard
Sometimes the ladder we must climb to reach that success may seem a long and tedious journey. Often times I have heard comments “how do I become a fashion model?” . Of course the reference to fashion models is actually a reference to runway models in the high fashion. For some the thought of commercial/advertisement models isn’t so prestigious. One look at Marissa Miller supermodel shows it can pay off.
Marissa miller started her modeling career at the age of 16 years old when she was spotted by two Italian modeling scouts. On a plane with her Mom headed for Italy gave her she got her feet wet with modeling. Although only doing amateur modeling; a picture of her was noticed by Mario Testino who met with her and offered her a job. That photo shoot became an editorial for Vogue Magazine in both the American and Italian editions.
After that things seemed to sky rocket for Marissa. Within a half a year she was working with Victoria Secrets and Sports Illustrated Swim Suit edition. As I mentioned earlier sometimes the road we take can seem long and tedious. At times we may question it. In the case of Marissa from 1994 to 2002 it probably seemed long and tedious. After 2002 things just started happening.
So being a supermodel just isn’t isolated to being on the catwalk at the NY fashion week or Milan or Paris. A woman can become a quite successful model as an editorial, commercial, and advertisement model. Then who knows, that could be the stepping stone to becoming a VS Angel.

This next video is for Marissa and hope all can
consider helping in her dedication to
salute the men in uniform that protect
our freedom and nation.
Our salute to her.

Hope you all enjoyed this blog.
after all
You are all 2 Kewl.

D&G Spring Trends 2012

D&G SPRING TRENDS 2012
By Steve Millard

At a loss for how to dress for the Spring Trends this year.
You may wish to consider the D&G Spring Trends for 2012.
I look at this fashion style and the first thing comes to my
mind is Easter. That is a Spring Holiday, right?

When you consider how many ways that you can color
an easter egg. D&G did that for their spring collection.
Well, not eggs, but models. Hmm here is an interesting idea.
Instead of hiding eggs you hide models.
You have an Easter Model Hunt.
Do I get to keep her???

Seriously though, D&G had a spectacular
Spring Trend look to the fashion show.
A lot of prints carried the show.
He utilized the prints
in three different ways.

1) Monochromatic prints. A good selection
of print patterns in pastel that remained  the
same from shoes to tops. And i must add
 everything in between.

2) Mix Match patterns. D&G coordinated
two and three different print patterns
to form the whole outfits.
A skirt in red print with a
blouse in yellow print
and a jacket in a neutral print.
The hand bag in seperate print.
He did and excellent job at the
coordination of the Print patterns.

3) A few of the outfits
were print with solid.
The solid were either
bright pastel or neutral.
These looked very classy.

So this is an idea to consider
to include into your spring trends.
Pick up some nice floral
prints and mix match them together
or buy a couple outfits with beautiful print
My favorite was kind of a red
print halter dress that came to mid thigh.
 So enjoy yourself this spring
dressing in prints.
Maybe I should start making a
list of volunteers
who will be my
Easter Model Hunt.
Have fun with your Spring Fashion trends 2012.
