Some of our fashion trends develops from celebrity fashion. Yep, another night sittin’ in front of the ole boob tube. Watching the academy awards. I just love to watch these shows. Seeing what kind of outfit’s the actresses wear. While lost in my own little fantasy. Imagining me wearing that outfit. No…wait a sec, look at that out fit. Ohhh that is so gorgeous. Geez, I wish I had her…
Some of the trends are very fashionable. While others are flops. At least in my opinion. Others though are very keen to trying to dress exactly as how their favorite pop star, movie star or other celebrity icon dresses. Even though they may not have the same body shape as that icon. Heck, some of the icons don’t have the body shape to dress the way they do. Then again…that is what makes style interesting.
Take fro example the hip hop fashion scene. Now I honestly can’t figure out what is so “cool” about someone wearing their pants half way down the rear end. What happens if you gotta make a wild dash. You will be tripping over yourself. Some other trend setters are, hmmm, interesting. But I am a guy and you know how guys are. Those horn dogs. Here is a few for example.

Of course, we are talking about the fashion style of celebrity that made this song popular. Shakira, a Columbian born singer-songwriter, has reached international attention with her singing as well as her hip gyrating dance moves. Her song “Hips Don’t lie” I think is awesome. One look at her style of fashion and you can betcha that the hips don’t lie.
Her fashion style usually consists of tight clothing. You know the hip hugging. Many times mid-riff tips with low-rise jeans. Showing off her abs. which is fine if you have the body for that. Which is why I guess it is popular among the younger crowd. Some though need to dress their age. Kinda like me showing up at the beach with men’s bikini swim trunks, topless. No I don’t have a 6 pack but I gotta baby keg I can show off. (LOL)
Dressing in this style doesn’t mean you have to spend a fortune on designer labels that cost you more than you can afford. You can find some very, very reasonable outfits that are quite affordable. Well for that matter, a lot of celebrities fashion style is, similar. Imagine this tip with a pair of low rise washed out look skinny jeans. You know, the kind of the cut outs on the legs. Perhaps with a pair of knee high boots. Top that off with a nice round hat and some large ear rings. Next thing you know…guys will be coming up to you, “hi, how ya doin’”

You just gotta remember to tell them that your ears are on your head and not…well I won’t go there.

Do you dress in style with off the shoulder tops? It doesn't really matter whether you are talking about day wear or evening wear. As a matter of fact, now that I think about it, it doesn't really matter what body shape you are. Off the shoulder tops are one of the most eye appealing looks there are. It doesn't matter whether we are talking about single shoulder outfits or halter style outfits. Baring the shoulders just has that...that very special look.

Take for example the SAG 2012 awards All the outfits were terriefic. However, there is always a "however", in my opinion Heather Morris really stood out from the rest. She arrived there wearing a stunning off the shoulder black leather mini with a sheer skirt layered on top. Now I know that is just my opion, I am a guy, what do I know. The look is very stylish if it is done correctly.

I hope to demonstrate how terrific the look actually is. Does that make me the ultimate authority? Far from it. You judge for yourself.  Following are a few examples off the shoulder looks

Chanel seems to always deliver with a bang. This season Chanel's delivered

their Haute Couture show with a very creative idea. Which I

am sure if you are familiar with Karl Lagerfeld you probably

anticipated this. This year the Chanel's Haute Couture show was

held on a plane. Despite the tight fit he pulled off a supeerb show.

Some of the invited guests may have been a little cramped.

In this article I will offer tips on how to find affordable outfits. There are times when you can become frustrated. You stand at one rack with a blouse in one hand. You read that sign on top of the rack. “Buy one get the second 50% off”. Sounds like a deal, so you toss it in the cart.
Three days later you sit in your room. Holding that second top in your hand. That voice in your head won’t stay quiet. “Why did I buy this top.” Sometimes you have to ask yourself are those sales really saving me money. We will sort through some of the sale tricks and shopping behaviors and you will realize how much money you can save. In addition you will be in control to buying your affordable outfits.
First you need to understand one thing. When stores make their promotions and sales they are doing it to make money. Most of that money comes from impulse buyers. Same holds true for any stores. That is why the gum and candy as well as women’s gossip magazines are at the cash registers in most of your grocery stores.

TIP 1:
So to come up with some ideas for outfits you need to understand what your style is. When you see an outfit on someone and you say to yourself…”Now, I like that outfit”. Whether it is some passerby on the sidewalk or photo in your favorite fashion magazine. Ask yourself why you like that outfit.
Perhaps you like it because of the v-neck, boat neck, plunging neckline. Or maybe the spaghetti straps, strapless, full sleeves or the ¾ sleeves. Could it be the print pattern or the clingy silk material that hugs the curves. Discover what things you like to see on an outfit that makes it appeal to you.
That is your style. When you go shopping shop for those items. Then you are in control. Why should I buy this one blouse and get another one free if you don’t like it. All it is going to do is sit in the closet. It isn’t fashionable attire for you. So now you understand what your style is you are ready to make your ideas for outfits.

TIP 2
Choose them in blacks, grays, white and brown shades. You can buy your blouses in color. Select the deeper bold colors for the black and dark gray slacks and skirts. Select lighter your colors in lighter shades for the white and beige colors.
You can buy one pair of slacks and one skirt. Select three blouses for them. In addition to one sweater and two blazers and maybe a few scarves. Then you can create several different looks utilizing the same pieces. This is taking control by putting your ideas for outfits to work. This is taking control and finding your affordable outfits. This is filling your closet with a wardrobe of fashionable attire.

TIP 3
First some of the items on these sales are outfits that are soon to be fading in the fashion trends. So if you are dressing to keep up with the trends…that bargain you find may be outdated come next season. Will it just sit in your closet and take up space. If so you aren’t saving money.
Second thing to consider is does that item fit into the guidelines you made for your “ideas for outfits”. Or are you buying it because it looks so cute. Then you need to ask yourself are you in control or are you falling prey to the impulse buying the store is aiming for. Granted nothing wrong with buying a tank top and getting the second 50% off. You can wear them around the house or just casual wear to go to the store or where ever.
You can find even better sales at your local stores during your pre and post season sales. Also after Christmas. It is possible during these sales to find items that are discounted 50-70% off. I would suggest trying to stick to items that are tried and true and most likely will be in style for years to come. Your little black dress is one example of this. Another is the skinny jeans. The skinny jeans have introduced themselves and now has become almost a necessity in every woman’s wardrobe. Make sure you buy the right skinny jean for your body shape.

There are other websites such as Amazon where you can choose how you shop. Shop by the designer label, shop by discount percentage or shop by how much you want to spend. For example Amazon allows you to shop for dresses over $75. You can also look at dresses between $25-$50. Or you can shop for dresses that are under $25.
You can also shop at what is know as a-stores. These stores are for affiliate marketers. My store site is one such as this. You are buying from Amazon but I place products that I think people will like. I try to keep a variety in my store. I strive to keep quality products or products that have positive reviews at a reasonable price.

Updating the store U 2 Kewl today will continue to add more things in the next few days. On my walk over here to the library the sky was grey. I think the prediction was rain turning to sleet turning to snow.

Then my mind started roaming. It does that often. We are almost into February. Winter is coming to an end. Well in a couple months. That will be over before you know it.

So I started myself to thinking I need to start adding spring and summer. Holy Cow, prom will be here before you know it. I need to add some Prom gowns. Holy Toledo, Valentines day will be coming up. What a perfect time to pop the question. And if she says "yes", she'll need that gown.

So to make a story short here is a peek and some of the things I have added.

I decided to write this on the golden globes 2012: A change in the fashion trends? Ohhh yeah, I already know what you are thinking. “Hey, the golden globes was a few days ago.” Ha, I got news for you. Better late than never. Did you see it though. If you did you will know what I am talking about then. You know…all curled up on the couch with your significant other. You are hoping yes, this is my favorite actress…she has to win.

Your significant other thinking yes. This is my favorite actress. I hope she has a clothing malfunction. Oooh la la. He waits to see how much cleavage she will show or how deep the plunge will go.. God didn‘t create double sided tape for nothing…oh wait a minute maybe Adam created that to keep those fig leaves in place. How high the slits will go, how sheer the outfits will be. Men thoughts are very predictable. You ask him who the best supporting actress he wants to win. “The what? Oh, ummm, who are the choices again?”

Well this year was a little different. The starlets at the Golden Globes 2012 may have created a new fashion trend for the red carpets. If it is a sign of the future red carpet events. The outfits will be very elegant and tasteful. The sultry looks from the cleavage and thigh bearing outfits were at minimum. Sophia Vergara for example wore a very beautiful formal pencil dress by Vera Wang and showed more of her tanned arms and upper chest. There was high necks outfits and various other tasteful outfits. You can see photos of all the outfits at the Huffington Post. Don’t forget to vote for who your favorite is at the Huffington Post.

HOW TO WEAR SKINNY JEANS

Every woman today should know how to wear skinny jeans. The skinny jeans has become an almost must in every woman’s wardrobe. Take a walk around your malls or downtown area and you see just how popular skinny jeans have become. It is sad to say that you see just how many women do not understand how to wear skinny jeans in a way that flatters their body. Hence the false myth: curvaceous women should not wear skinny jeans.

In order to understand how to wear skinny jeans you should know there are different types of skinny jeans. One type may not work for your body type but one of the others will. First there is the true skinny. They get skinnier from the top of the thigh to the ankle. There is another that is skinny on the thigh but the calf is straight. You can even find them flared at the calf. Then there is the straight skinny. Basically a straight cut jean with a slight taper.

So no matter what body type you have or what body flaws you have you can still wear skinny jeans. Choose the right type and accessorize it correctly and you will have a “d y n o m I t e” outfit that flatters your body. So just keep reading and you will learn how to wear skinny jeans and become an avid fan of the skinny jean craze.

THE TRUE SKINNY JEAN For the skinny petite woman, the woman with the boyish figure you have the true skinny jeans. It is easy for these women to learn how to wear skinny jeans. These jeans can help accentuate their figure in a flattering way. To stay on the conservative side I would recommend staying with the mid-rise. However, in the right environment the hard body younger women may wear the low-rise jeans. The older women should dress their age.

These women should avoid the jeans that do not have a back pocket. If you do not have the wide hips avoid the over sized back pockets. Many of these women may not have that much of a booty. If that be you, your skinnies should have medium sized back pockets preferably with a flap.

The buttons should be small. Heels can help add height. If you are tall use color to break up the height. Blue jeans with a red blouse is an example. You can also wear a wide belt in which short women should avoid.

STAIGHT OR FLARED CALFMany women with an apple shape has very nice legs and upper torso. They just need to draw attention away from the mid torso. So skinny jeans can flatter their figure. These women should avoid the low rise jeans. The belt line should rest about and inch below the belly button.

STRAIGHT SKINNIESThese skinnies are for the large curvaceous woman. They are also ideal for the office environment on casual day. Avoid the no back pocket or the small pockets. If you are looking for some winter jackets on sale I encourage everyone to take a look at that article. One of my favorites I liked was the Burberry Brit hooded duffle coat. Still as awesome as some of those coats were the prices were kind of steep. I took a look in the U 2 Kewl store and found one I thought I would post. THREE EASY STEPS TO SHOPPING ON-LINE
Doreen, who works as an administrative secretary, came home following a hectic day at work. She completed all the menial tasks at home, ate dinner, and showered. Now relaxing in her easy chair with her laptop she starts browsing for an outfit to wear to the Christmas Party for her work.

As with a lot of companies the Christmas Party can be compared to a mini-fashion extravaganza. Most of the women displays their best outfits to show off. One may arrive wearing a very prim Worthington outfit she purchased at J C Penny. Another may come in a dress by Merona she purchased at Target.
Doreen knew what to expect and decided to browse the internet to pick just the right dress. She found that dress made the purchase and just as sure as anything the dress never showed. It turned out the store she chose to shop at was a small store and the owner didn’t have the merchandise to back up his ad.

Sad to say, it probably happens more than it should. That and a few other discouraging things can always turn people away from shopping on the internet. So I have outlined three easy steps to shopping on-line that will help to avoid such pitfalls.


Shop from well known reputable stores

Shop from well known reputable stores would probably rank high on the list. Sure if you can afford to gamble a little without cutting in to your budget then that awesome outfit that is offered by a store you know absolutely nothing about could be worth the risk. I am not putting down the small internet stores. However, if you are on a budget and can’t afford the risk you are better off with a larger well know on-line store.

This is why with the Fashion Shopette I chose my affiliation with Amazon. I know of a great many people who will shop on the internet with no one other than Amazon. They are fair and very trustworthy.

E-bay is another but there is one problem with E-bay that I have known. E-bay offers a platform for other sellers. You may find yourself in a similar situation with that seller. Your beef then is with that seller not E-bay.

Shipping PolicyA company that takes forever in shipping their merchandise makes it hard on others who are trying to get your merchandise to you quickly. Especially, when the customer may opt not ordering online and instead go to Target, Walmart, or some other store and walk out with the merchandise after they pay for it.
A Good Return PolicyAlways, always, always make sure there is a good return policy. Check to see if returns can be shipped free or if the buyer has to pay for the return shipping. Make sure you know what their policy is before you order the product.
With Amazon; yeah, yeah, yeah, I’m a sucker for Amazon- they have an excellent return policy. Most the items you buy from Amazon can be returned within thirty days. There are stipulations and exceptions you need to review their return policy for exact situations.

What is their Return Policy

There is probably nothing more aggravating than to spend your hard earned money on a product and then waiting 10 weeks to receive it. Check to make sure the store promises shipping the merchandise in a reasonable amount of time. Again, with Amazon, when you make your order Amazon states how long it will take for you to get your merchandise. If they do not have a policy on shipping the merchandise or the time is unreasonable by all means find someone else to order from.

There are ways to minimize the reason for return. One shop by designer that you are familiar with. If you like Metrostyle design your familiar with their design then you can be rest assured that when you order the size 8 that you normally wear will fit.

Also read customer reviews if you are unfamiliar with the designer. If the particular item you want has no reviews check to see if you can find any reviews on other items by that designer. You could look at sale banner for Ugg boots and decide you like them. However after reading the customer reviews you notice they aren’t weather resistant. That $200 pair of boots gets ruined when you went out in the snow with them.

You order size 8 Aldo wedge that you normally wear to discover that you should have ordered a size 9. Check to see what other customers had to say before you order the item. Most of the time you get some good feedback.
