LEXI’S FASHION MISADVENTURES

Today such a beautiful day. The first thoughts to enter Lexi’s mind while browsing her closet in an attempt to choose her outfit for the day.

Then she spotted it. Her beautiful sundress. It was a white maxi length.

She bought it on one of her excursions to snap her out of her winter blues.

Today would be such a beautiful day to wear it.

After donning the dress she fixed her hair in a loose bun. Very lightly applied a little makeup. Just a touch of eye shadow. A little eyeliner a must.

Some clear lip gloss. In front of the mirror she admired herself. A little fashionista she was. Approved of her looks. She stepped outside to wait on her little picnic date. The guy been hitting on her at work. He was kind of cute so what the heck. He might just turn out to be the one. A little grin crossed her face as his car cam around the corner.

The drive was short maybe 40 or 45 minutes. Lexi approved of his taste in music. Conversation was good. Now all settled on a blanket. Her date, Alex, was getting the food served to her. Lexi smoothed out her white sundress in an appreciation to how nice it felt on her body. The fabric wasn’t thick. And with the slight wind that blew it felt so refreshing.

The food was good. Alex actually was a good talker. Lexi enjoyed herself so much that the time just seemed to fly. The clouds started moving over head. For a moment Lexi kind of shivered from the goose pemples that the chilled wind brought on. The temperature started lowering. Lexi didn’t mind. She was enjoying her company.

Then it hit. Like a wall. Out of nowhere. A torrent of rain. As soon as they got the basket packed up. They made a dash for the car. But it was too late. By the time they got to the car. Lexi was sopping wet. Totally drenched. She brushed the water away as it dropped down her face.

After a quick glance down. She became so embarrassed. Her face reddened. So humiliated. Her worst moment ever. The sun dress was white. Now soaking wet. Her date could see through the dress. How could she have done this. Now he knows everything.

Now he could see plain as daylight her infatuation for Winnie The Pooh. Her Winnie the Pooh t shirt was so noticeable. She always wore her Winnie the Pooh t shirts. A habit she never outgrew. She loved the Winnie the Pooh.

Alex noticed her discomfort took his spring jacket off so she could put it on. That when she noticed. His Tigger t shirt. Lexi smiled then set the jacket on her lap proud of her Winnie The Pooh t shirt.

LEXI’S FASHION MISADVENTURES

Days turned to weeks which turned into months. Now six months was approaching. Hmmm, the more Lexi thought about it the more she felt…yes. Six month anniversary called for something special. After all Alex was something special. A little grin crossed her face. Her little Tigger. That was her little nick name for him.

Lexi had been thinking about this for the last month. What to do for their 6 month anniversary. She had this little light that flickered in her mind. After all sometimes blondes can have their moments and come up with brilliant ideas. Yes…this was a brilliant idea. The first thought that entered her head was, “my little Tigger will Love this.”

She spent two months rehearsing, practicing, rehearsing and practicing some more. It was difficult after all Lexi wasn’t that much at working out. She was more comfortable sitting on her couch wrapped up in her comforter keeping up with latest reality TV shows.

Now she spent her time preparing for her 6 month anniversary. Lexi felt she was improving. Now the anniversary was approaching she had to get a special outfit. Hmm….That light bulb went off again. Twice now in a couple months. She was getting good at this. She better not let her boss know. He might expect her to think at work.

A week before the anniversary, Lexi went to Victoria Secrets. She bought a nice outfit that she was sure that Alex would like. Ohh, I mean my little Tigger. She even bought a pair of Pleaser platform sandals. With 4 inch stiletto heels. Lexi really liked these.

Then for the next week Lexi practiced in her outfit. She loved working out in her little outfit. She was so glad she spent the extra money and got the good pole to dance on. They had one cheaper but she paid the extra money to get the good one. Bought some good music. She was actually getting good on the pole. It was fun. Now she was a pole dancer.

No way could she do it for an audience. Alone in her apartment was different. She knew Alex would enjoy it. She remember the look in his eyes when he watched that stupid movie. Let me see..what was the name of it..ohh yeah-Strip Tease.

Now the night was here. Alex was seated in her living room. She had a chair all set up. So he had a front row seat to watch her. From her bedroom she put on her music. Then entered the Living room. In her French Maid outfit with stockings and garter. Her platform sandals. She Loved these sandals. They are just so cute.

She approached the pole. With all her earnestness she grabbed the pole. Kicked her feet up to make that twirl. Then it happened. At that same moment. Lexi’s sandal left her right foot. She twirled around the pole. The sandal went airborne in its flight and striking its target in the forehead. Lexi hobbled over to her Tigger barefoot on one high heel on the other. Alex was out cold.

It was about forty five minutes later after Alex came to, the paramedics were leaving her apartment. Alex refused to go to the hospital. They felt he was ok cause when he woke up he had the little wicked grin on his face. Lexi thought it was kind of cute considering the big bruise he had on his fore head.

Maybe that idea wasn’t a good idea anyway. Oh well, He wants me to try it again on another night. He said he has a head ache tonight. Gee, I thought the woman was suppose to use that excuse.

When considering top fashion models I used to imagine

Young women who were Miss Stuck Uppish. Having a taste of the

Glamour and the publicity. Many times people’s

Heads get swelled. However, researching the Top fashion model,

Natalia Vodianove was a very pleasing experience. I feel

A great pleasure in bringing this article to you. I hope

Reading through the history of top model Natalia Vodianova I could not help but come up with this as the title for this blog. It was most certainly a rewarding experience for myself. To see the challenges this young woman had to overcome and then be able to rise above it all. Natalia Vodianova most certainly is a Piscean Angel. A woman whom most aspiring models can look to as how success is not prejudice to economic upbringing.

Natalia Vodianova was born on February 28, 1982 making her a Pisces which seems to be very strong in her life. Gorky, Soviet Union (now commonly know as Nizhny Navgorod, Russia) is where home was for Natalia. She was raised in the poor district of the city. Her Mom did her best to raise her and her two half sisters, one of which has cerebral palsy, by operating a fruit stand.

Natalia helped her Mom whenever she was able. A few gifts that a Pisces has is the ability to observe and listen well. These gifts must have played a strong role in the life of Natalia as a young adolescent. She gained the experience to run her own fruit stand along with a friend in order to help her Mom out of poverty. A few more gifts of the Pisces. Being sensitive, compassionate, selfless and sympathetic.

At the age of fifteen after enrolling in a modeling academy Natalia was told by a scout that if she desired to succeed as a fashion model she would have to learn how to speak English. That little Piscean Angel must have listened well for she mastered the English language in 3 months.

At 17 she moved to Paris. In an attempt to further her career as a fashion model she signed on with Viva Modeling Agency. It wasn’t all peaches and cream for her. There were times that she scraped by. There were times she probably became unfocused from what her goal was. However, she never lost that goal. Through her perseverance she started to become more active on the runways.

Now she is a runway, editorial, and advertising model. She has over 175 shows under her belt in RTW and Haute Collection shows. She has gotten a taste of what it is to be an actress. Forbes Magazine has ranked her at being the 7^th highest paid supermodel.

What was her secret to success? I don’t think she even knows how all this came about. After reading her story I can formulate what I believe to be the secret of her success. One thing to understand is that we are all a product of our experiences. Despite being raised at home with just a Mom as a parent. Her Father abandoned them when she was little.

Witnessing her Mom working hard to provide for them. That created in her a dream to help her Mom out of poverty. Without an ego and never mind the pity potty she did what she had to do. With the determination to succeed she set the pattern into motion. She created the vibrations around her to succeed.

She went back to Russia with her son and discovered he didn’t have a place to play. The same was true for all the children. With that in mind she set the wheels in motion. That Piscean Angel went to work again. Her intuitiveness, selflessness, and creativeness she became founder and president of Naked Heart Foundation. An organization in Russia to create playgrounds and parks where children can play.

Through her selflessness and money she gives back to the world through her philanthropic endeavors. It was because of this that Harper’s Bazaar extended to her their Inspiration award in November 2010. It is because of these things that I refer to Natialia Vodianova as a Piscean Angel. Through her life I can say that this is the equation for success:

DESIRE+DETERMINATION+PERSERVERANCE+SELFLESS LOVE=SUCCESS.

The desire to succeed, the determination to remain steadfast, and selfless Love to give to the universe what you are able with the gifts it has blessed you with. Those along with the perseverance to remain steadfast through the obstacles the universe places in front of you to test the sincerity of your heart. When the universe finds the selfless Love to be true you will find your hearts desires. The road wasn’t easy but it’s because of everything in her past that has created what she is today.

The Spring Trends comes to my mind today as February prepares to end and March is just around the corner. Today has been especially nice and I know quite a few people are getting yancy to bring out their spring wardrobe. So earlier I was on the computer and browsing around couldn’t help but look at some of the spring and summer fashion shows for 2012.

As amazing as some of the shows are I would like to ask you what are your plans for the spring outfit?
Ahhh, If you had to think about that for a second. Or ask yourself what is the trends for the spring. Then I hope you will continue to read this article where I will offer some tips to the Spring Trends. After offering these tips to the Spring Trends I will guide you step by step and show you some tidbits of fashionable pleasure. I would like to let you peek at some items on sale in the U 2 Kewl store that fit right in with what Spring Trends that you can buy now.

So if you are ready…we will prepare our journey into the spring trends of 2012 and how to wear them.

HOW TO WEAR SPRING TRENDS.During the runway shows for the Spring/Summer fashion shows one thing many had in common was print patterns. Some were of course simple one piece print patterns such as dresses. Others were a little more complicated with seperates which were mix matched.

Prints:

With a little creativity one can co-ordinate the prints so that they compliment each other to make a dynamite outfit that rocks. Utilizing a combination of prints that are similar in pattern and proportionate to each other and complimentary colors. Preferably with your brighter colors on top.You could also go with a mono chromatic look with print patterns that are similar and proportionate to one another.

Accessorize the outfit to tie it all together. A belt or scarf. Jewelry such as your larger ear rings. The outfits can be made to work well together. It would be more a day wear item. I would not recommend it in a professional environment.

The other alternative is wearing print dress. Instead of mixing and matching your prints you can wear outfits that are all print. One thing that needs to be said about print is your size. If you are a petite then I would recommend shying away from the print. However, in the case you are fond of print keep the print small.

Be Cute In Pink:

I tend to believe the pink ideally should be worn as accessories or shoes. Your hot pink heels can look dynamite. A pink shirt can look very nice if you balance it out with the rest of the outfit. Charcoal grey slacks with a pink blouse would go very nice together.

To be cute in pink was a focal point on some of the runway look for the Spring Fashion Trends. The question is “How do you wear pink as your Spring Fashion Trends. Pink in my opinion can be a very daring color. Too much will ruin the look. Used sparingly the outfit can look awesome. If you have a light skin tone I would suggest keeping in line with a shade of pink in a pastel shade. If your skin tone is medium to dark go with a more bold pink.

70’s are Groovy: The retro look is still in. I am sorry to say this cause it gives my age away. The 70’s I thought were a totally cool look. Then again that was my teen age years of life. Shorts were shorts. The sorts in the 70’s didn’t hang down to your mid-calf. The daisy dukes were in, LOL.

On the serious side the bell bottom slacks with a floppy hat. That is the 70’s look. And that look was prevalent in a fair amount of the runway looks. So you can deck yourself out in a Bo Derek style and be in with the Spring Fashion trends.


Dare to go Flare:

Ohh you aren’t a skirt type of woman. Prefer the pants. Flares are the same with these. Wear them the way they are suppose to be worn. In an office? Stay away from the low riders. The crotch of the slacks should somewhat be in close proximity to your crotch. The belt line should be approximately an inch or so below the navel. Save the low riders for the night clubs.


That is right. Those denims with the wide legs, they are still happening. For women whose lower torso is not in proportion with their upper torso is that the wide leg pants can create a balanced look.Ahh hah, So you ain’t retro, huh? Then maybe the flares are for you. One thing good is that flares go with almost all body types. It is possible for a flared skirt to give many women the illusion of a smaller waist. You can create a look with the flares that is acceptable in the professional environment or clubbing.

Wide Legged Pants Still Happening:
Skinny women with boyish figure can wear pants with slightly wide legs and a top that goes to the hip with a sash belt around the waist and create an illusion of a more curvy figure. If you get real wide leg pants you will get lost in them and spoil the look.

Relax in the Maxi:

Not much can be said about this. Either you like or you don’t. The Maxi though can be used to combine many of these looks. When you consider spring with a floral print maxi, some sling back sandals and that floppy hat from the 70’s. Yeah.. “you be a rockin and a rollin”.

Lookin’ Good With a Minimal Look: This look I think is one of the best. It is a more natural look. A simple outfit, such as a neutral a-line skirt and blouse. Maybe a light trench over it. To make this look effective makeup needs to be minimal.

Excellent daywear and can be even worn as a professional environment. Some of the hairstyles that can make this look superb is the wet hair look. After you wash your hair you tie it up in a bun without drying it. Allow the hair to dry on it own. Even though it looks like you may have overslept and didn’t have time to dry your hair. It is a look I think is terrific.

Be A Blackbelt:
If it is daywear then imagine a moment black rider boots with dark grey legging a white peasant top with a black belt around the waist. With this look a large shoulder bag is good.

Go For Color Block:

 The color block was prevalent on a few of the runways. The color block is a mod look and is a fabulous look. Here is one article I would suggest you check out. It is a color block designed my Stella McArtney that gives an illusion of a slimmer figure. Color block is ideal no matter the time. Day wear or night wear. As this week draws close to an end so does another Fashion week NY come to an end. Held biannually Fashion Week NY draws world wide attention in fashion community. The most popular of these events is what is now come to be known as the Mercedez Benz Fashion Week of NY City. Which is held currently at the Lincoln Center.

However, amidst all the hustle and bustle there are also other less popular fashion events. I would tend to say project runway is one of these. There are also other runway fashion shows that are not connected with the main event. Smaller independent designers showcasing their work in a more cost efficient way. Eliminating the cost of the world supermodels by utilizing local talent. Others making do with their work showcased on mannequins.

Now that New York is recognized as one or the leading cities of Fashion. It ranks right up there with Paris, Milan, and London. It took some work and was not always like that however. Pre-World War 2, Vogue magazine and other leading fashion magazines at that time didn’t waste their space with American Fashion. They covered the highly more prestigious fashions of Paris, France.

It was through the diligent effort of one Lady That Fashion Week NY exists. This Lady was recognized by the NY Times as the Empress Of Fashion. Eleanor Lambert, born in Indiana, received her advanced schooling from the John Herron School of Art as well as the Chicago Art Institute. In the beginning she worked with an advertising agency dealing with artists and art galleries.

As the years advanced, she became a fashion publicist, which was her occupation in 1943. Due to World War 2 it had become difficult for many fashion reporters to follow the fashion news in France. Eleanor then put together her idea and followed through the organization of what was to be called Press Week. Showcasing the American Fashion for the fashion reporters. It was to be the World's first Fashion Week.

That is right originally it was an event for the fashion reporters of the American leading fashion magazines in USA to meet their deadlines and fill their pages with fashion pieces. It was American fashion instead of the fashion of Paris, France. The buyers, they still had to go to the designers to see the outfits.

Only time could tell. This idea of Press Week caught on. And became a regular theme.
Eventually the name Press Week was dropped and was renamed Fashion Week. As the nations economy went up and down so did the Fashion Week NY. Ohh, it was still in practice. The Idea never dropped. Due to the economy and other reasons the Fashion Week NY had to adapt and adjust. Such as its move in 2010 to the Lincoln Center. It has really taken a boom since 2009 due to the world technology.

It is no longer an event only for the press. It is an event for the press, the buyers, and celebrities. As Fashion Week makes it progress with the world wide web. People can watch from the comfort of their home as it streamed live on You Tube. The super models that highlight these shows with their straight face mannequins are recognized through their fans in the you tube videos. Who had the best runway walk? The Music Videos that has the Models lip syncing. I thoroughly enjoy them Thanks to Justin Wu and Ken Butti.

Anybody who is familiar with the fashion industry probably has their favorite models…which is what led me to do this article “Adrianna Lima-Supermodel”. Developing the game of U 2 Kewl Fashion Trivia I hope is one that catches on. Now after the first week doing this article has been a great pleasure. I am a fan of Adrianna Lima, along with umpteen million other guys and girls.
It probably never occurred in her parents mind on that day June 12, 1981, the day that Adrianna was born, that as they held their new born daughter that one day she would become a would icon in the fashion world.
Adrianna Lima, a supermodel, the idea is kinda catchy.
I won’t go into a lot of detail about her. You can read the above referenced articles to get more information. One thing that really stood out is her dedication to helping children. She has done so much for children who needs help and I think in my heart that that is so admirable about her.
Another thing with this supermodel named Adrianna Lima is that one look at google search…you can get an idea of all kinds of things that people are looking for in this supermodel. Pictures of her, videos of her, her boobs and even her feet. LOL.
One thing that had a lot of people curious was the
Adrianna Lima Diet. How does a woman after giving birth to her child still maintain that model figure. One article I read showed that the author was just as curious. She wanted to do the same thing. Never fear…The Adrianna Diet is here…I am not saying it works but I guess it did for Adrianna Lima a woman with a supermodel’s figure.

In today’s economy knowing how to find cheap women’s clothing is a blessing. Now I do not mean to use this word “cheap” lossely. You know going to a garage sale and finding that “what was once a beautiful dress”- yeah right, in my grandmothers time. I am not putting down garage sales…you can find some bargains there.
I knew one woman garage sailing was a passion of hers. It provided a whole Saturday of entertainment. Newspaper in one hand with a list of all the garage sales. However, for some people having the time or the means to make those sales is just as precious as the idea of saving a buck. Then the question is how do I find cheap women’s clothing. Not just cheap but also quality.
DIYHere are three ways which I can suggest. The First way though is not the choice for many women. It may be time consuming. For those women who have the talent and a sewing machine available. You can find patterns for dresses and clothes at your local fabric store. They rank from easy to difficult in skill level.
For many people this can be beneficial. It can serve as a coping mechanism from the daily hum drum stresses. You can also build yourself quite a wardrobe of trendy, fashionable yet cheap women’s clothes.
Another alternative to the DIY is creating fashionable looks out of old clothes you may already have. There are several of these tutorials available on you tube. You can also go to a resale thrift store buy some t-shirts for around a dollar or men’s dress shirts for a dollar or two and create some real nifty outfits. I am talking about cheap women’s clothes like body con skirts, skirts, fashionable tank tops. Check some of these videos out.



Cheap Clothes Online. Finding cheap clothes for women online isn’t a difficult task. There are hundreds or places you can shop online. Problem is that sometimes it can be a little intimidating. “Who can you trust?”, “There are so many scams out there.”, or “you get what you pay for so if it is cheap it is gotta be cheap.”. With the technology today everything is starting to go cyberspace. So off in the www.wild blue Yonder lurks our future e-ommerce
It isn’t such a scary thing especially if you are going by word of mouth. Most of the time friends will tell you all about where they got this excellent dress. How happy she was to find this website. Word of mouth can destroy or build a company. One I highly recommend is Amiclubwear.
Today’s young woman can sometimes find it difficult. At school or work you peer wear such beautiful clothes. Or the one you don’t like walking around in her “name brand” outfit thinking she is all that. You shrug it off “well, I am not really a fashion type person” . Some people aren’t.
I had a friend who wasn’t one of them. I had the opportunity of being the sound board. She did want those nice clothes. But after the bills got paid, food for the kids, the doctor’s office co-pay for the flu the little one had…she couldn’t afford “nice clothes.”
Shop online…you can find some bargains, which is why I like Amiclubwear.

My Hot High Heel Interview

Hello, and welcome to my interview with a pair of hot high heels.

What’s that? Ohh, the band-aid. Its nothing, just a mishap. I had the most pleasurable experience…uh, a painful one too, with a pair of hot high heels.
Now everybody knows that a pair of ladies’ high heels, especially stilettos, are to say the least a pair of hot high heels.
Well I had was given the opportunity to meet with a pair a these pretty heels and interview them. Talking about shoes with a sole…these shoes got sole. I do caution you guys sometimes you have to stay in step. Offending one of these soles…I rubbed the area of my band aid, can prove to be a painful lesson.
Without further ado…I will go ahead and introduce you to none other that the heel of the hour. CLASH, “OUCH”
“Uhhh, sorry Miss Hot High Heels, I didn’t mean that the way it sounded. You gotta another band-aid.”

Some boots just has beautiful soles. “Sorry, Miss Hot High Heel, we should have made an arch for you to make your entrance. The heel under the arch type of thing. MHHH: I am none of the above. I am faux fur.
Me: Is that something like a deer?
MHHH: No. I said faux not fawn. I am pretend fur.
Me: I know that…I was just joking.
MHHH: Yeah right. Faux fur is so nice. It is the trend. Wearing something furry without killing an animal.
Me: Ohhh, that’s right like your friend Paprika.

Why do you think ladies high heels are such a hot item today?
MHHH: Are you kidding. Once a woman slides her dainty little feet in a pair of pretty heels she looks awesome. They give her height. Tone her legs.
All women loves pretty heels especially stilettos.
Me: I see what you mean but you are so professional looking. I mean look at you. Wow you look so corporate. Not exactly pretty. Now take your friend Thea Platform. Ohhh wow wow wow.

MHHH: I hate her. Everybody says that about her. Me I like classy. I can go out for the evening and shake my bootie. Even though I am a boot I still have a sole.
Me: I am sorry, I didn’t mean anything like that. It is just you are so professional. Thea is more cocktail partyish.
MHHH: I can be a party animal…why don’t you put your feet in me and I will show you.
Me: Sorry Miss Hot High Heels, I put my feet in you we will both be in the hospital. And I don’t know if Dr Scholls will be able to fix you.
